A consultation with Dr. Snyder begins with new patient paperwork with your basic information and medical and dental history. Please bring your insurance card if you have dental insurance and request your dental records be transferred from your previous dentist. Our dental hygienist will perform a basic dental exam and make notes for Dr. Snyder regarding the state of your teeth, oral tissues and jawbone, looking for tooth decay, signs of gum disease and enamel erosion. This exam establishes your current oral health. Dr. Snyder will perform a more thorough exam based on these notes and develop a treatment plan that encompasses your needs and cosmetic goals. Some new patients may need fillings, dental crowns or implants to restore a healthy mouth.

Your consultation and new patient exam may require X-rays to detect issues with the teeth and jawbone. Dr. Snyder will discuss her findings with you and go over your goals for your smile, such as whitening for tooth stains.
